6. Point the camera at the subject.
7. If necessary, you can change the zoom level of the photo by using the Volume key or by using gesture (pinch the screen or spread two fingers apart together on the screen).
8. If necessary, you can change the focus manually by tapping anywhere on the screen where the camera should be focused. The focus point will turn green when the focus has been locked.
9. Tap to take a dual shot photo.

Given the function, the dual camera mode will be great for taking all-inclusive group photos, combination photos, etc. All in all, this mode will help you to ensure that you'll always be included in any photo even if you have to act as the photographer.

Samsung Galaxy S4: How to Enable and Use Daydream Feature in Android 4.4.2 Kitkat

Daydream is a feature available in the Samsung Galaxy SIV. This feature will allow you to set the phone to activate an interactive screen saver (photos, real-time info, animation, etc) automatically when the phone is docked or charging. You can use this feature to make the screen becomes more attractive if you're bored with the black screen when your phone is docked or charging.

How to enable and use daydream mode?
Since this feature is not enabled by default, then you have to enable it first before using this feature in your phone. You can do so by using the following steps:

1. Go to Settings.
2. Tap My Device tab.
3. Tap Display.
4. Scroll down to find Daydream and then tap it.
5. Slide the ON/OFF switch to the right to enable daydream. The switch turns green when it's enabled.
6. Select the desired daydream from the following options:
• Colors: select this option to display the colors change effect as the screensaver.
• Desert case: select this option to display the Android 4.4.2 Kitkat Easter egg animation as the screensaver. FYI, this option only available if the hidden Android 4.4.2 Kitkat Easter egg animation has been revealed.
• Flipboard: select this option to display your personalized magazine as the screensaver. You can set how the news will be updated by tapping next to Flipboard and then tap Download new items automatically and then select from the following options: Only On WiFi, Always or Never.
• Google Photos: select this option to display a slide show of the photos on the devices or in the selected Google account as the screensaver. You can select which photos are displayed by tapping next to Google Photos and then select the required Google account and the required albums.
• Photo frame: select this option to display a slide show of the photos on the device as the screensaver. You can select which photos are displayed by tapping next to Photo frame and then select the required albums.
• Photo table: select this option to display the photos scattering effect as the screensaver. You can select which photos are displayed by tapping and then select the required albums.
7. To see the preview of the selected daydream, you can tap Start now button.
8. If necessary, you can also set the time when the daydream mode should be activated by tapping Select dream time button and then select from the following options:
• While docked
• While charging (either AC or USB charging)
• Both (while docked and charging).
9. Done. Now whenever your phone is connected to a desktop dock or charging(depending on the option you have selected in the step #8), the phone will keep the screen on and display the selected daydream as the screensaver.

As a note, since the daydream feature can't work along with the desk home screen, thus when you enable daydream, the desk home screen option will be disabled automatically.

Samsung Galaxy S4: How to Transfer Files to SD Card in Android 4.4.2 Kitkat

As we all know that low internal storage can bring some problems to your Samsung Galaxy SIV, for instance error while saving or reading files or error while using apps. You may move some files to the PC or other storage to free up some space so that the device can work properly and doesn't encounter any error that is caused by low internal storage. How to copy files to SD card?
Compared with "move files", copying files is relatively safer and more recommended because it will avoid you losing your files. You can use the following steps to copy files from the internal storage to the SD card:

1. Open My Files app.
2. Tap All files.
3. Tap Device storage.
4. Navigate to the required folder.
5. Select the required files you want to copy to the SD card.
6. Tap and then select Copy.
7. Now, tap SD memory card.
8. Navigate to the folder where you want to paste the files. If necessary, you can create a new folder by using the following steps:
• Tap Create folder .
• Enter the folder name.
• Tap OK button.
• Tap the newly created folder to open it.
9. Tap Paste here button
10. All selected files in the step #5 will be copied to the folder you have selected/created in the step #8.
11. Now, you can safely deleted the original files you have just copied from your internal storage.

How to move files to the SD card?
Please note that I don't recommend to move files to the SD card because it might make you lose the files. But, in case you still want to use this method to transfer files from internal storage to the SD card regardless the risk that you may receive then you can do so by using the following steps:

1. Open My Files app.
2. Tap All files.
3. Tap Device storage.
4. Navigate to the required folder.
5. Select the required files you want to move to the SD card.
6. Tap and then select Move.
7. Now, tap SD memory card.
8. Navigate to the folder where you want to paste the files. If necessary, you can create a new folder by using the following steps:
• Tap Create folder .
• Enter the folder name.
• Tap OK button.
• Tap the newly created folder to open it.
9. Tap Move here button
10. All selected files in the step #5 will be moved to the folder you have selected/created in the step #8 and the original files in the internal storage will be deleted automatically.

As a note, "move" allows you to transfer files to the SD card and it will delete the original files automatically but you may be at risk losing your files though in rarely occasion, while "copy" allows you to transfer files to the SD card without you have to worry losing your files but it makes you have to delete the original files manually.

10. Check the checkbox in the left side of Show owner info on lock screen to display your information on lock screen.
11. Tap OK button.
12. Press the Power key twice to go to the lock screen. Now, your owner info should be displayed as a running text below the date.

Samsung Galaxy SIV provides you with the easier way to share music with those around you by using group play. When you create a new group for group play, the phone will enable Wi-Fi hotspot automatically and let other group-play-capable devices to connect to your group by using Wi-Fi direct. Once the group is created, you can select which the music you want to share and let other group participants stream the same tune in their devices in real time.

How to create a group for group play to share music?
You can act as the leader group or master phone, which will have total control on volume, effect and the speaker placement for each device, by creating a group for group play by using the following steps:

1. Open Group play app.
2. If necessary, check the box in the left side of Set group password to protect your group with password.
3. Tap Create group button.
4. Enter the password for group play. This password will need to be entered by other devices before they can join with your group. If necessary, you can check the box in the left side of Show password to make the password visible so that you can make sure that it has been entered correctly.
5. Tap OK button.
6. Tap to see all participants in your group.
7. Tap Share music.
8. Select the desired song you want to share with group play and then tap Done button.
9. Your phone will play the first song in the playlist.
10. As the leader group, you can do some of the following actions:
• Changing the effect(go to the step #11).
• Controlling the volume and the speaker placement (go to the step #12).
• Controlling the music(go to the step #13).
• Managing the playlist(go to the step #14).
11. Changing the effect:
• While you're in the view mode, tap the Menu key and then select Speaker style.
• Select from the following style: Funky, Classic and Wave.
• Tap Apply button.
12. Controlling the volume and the speaker placement:
• If you're in the view mode, tap to go to the settings mode.
• Tap the left speaker and then select the device you want to set as left speaker and then tap OK button.
• Tap the right speaker and then select the device you want to set as right speaker and then tap OK button.
• Tap to set all connected devices as stereo speakers.
• Tap to adjust the volume (master volume and each participant volume).
13. Controlling music:
• If you're in the view mode, tap to go to the settings mode.
• Tap to turn on or off shuffle.
• Tap to change the repeat mode.
• Tap to restart the currently playing song or skip to the previous song.
• Tap to pause or resume the currently playing song.
• Tap to skip to the next song.
• Tap to display the playlist.
14. Managing the playlist:
• If you're in the view mode, tap to go to the settings mode.
• Tap to see the playlist.
• Tap and then select the desired song you want to add to the playlist and then tap Done button. The selected song will be added to the playlist.
• Tap and then select the required song you want to remove from the playlist and then tap Done button. The selected song will be removed from the playlist.
15. To stop playing the music, tap the Back key and then tap OK button.
16. To close the group, tap the Back key and then tap OK button. The group will be closed and the session in all connected devices will be ended.

How to join a group play to stream the shared music?
You can act as a participant in a group play by joining the available group for group play by using the following steps:

1. Open Group play.
2. You can connect with the group by using one of the following methods:
Join the group manually:
• Tap Join group button.
• If there's only one group available, you'll be asked directly to enter the group password and then tap OK button.
• If there are multiple groups available, you have to select the group you want to join and then enter the group password and then tap OK button.
• Tap Share music.
• The device will play the song that is currently being shared by the leader group or master phone.
Join the group using NFC(it can be used if the NFC in both the devices are turned on):
• Place your phone with the master phone back to back.
• Both the devices will be connected, and the phone will play the song that is currently being shared by the leader group or master phone
3. As a participant, you can add or remove song in the playlist by using the following steps:
• Tap the Menu key and then select Playlist.
• Tap and then select the desired song you want to add to the playlist and then tap Done button. The selected song will be added to the playlist.
• Tap and then select the required song you want to remove from the playlist and then tap Done button. The selected song will be removed from the playlist.
4. To stop playing the music, tap the Back key and then tap OK button.
5. To quit from the group, tap the Back key and then tap OK button.

Group play provides you a better way to share music because you can stream the same tune in real time with those who are connected in the same group with you. Unfortunately, since this feature uses mobile hotspot, use this feature in a long time will make your battery can be drained quickly.

As a note, others who are connected with you via Bluetooth can rename your Bluetooth name on their devices, but it's only temporary because the name will be reset back when the device is unpaired. 3. Enter the contact's name or number in the Enter recipient field.
4. Type your message in the Enter message field.
5. To hide the keyboard, simply by tapping the Back key (it's a physical button which is located in the right side of the Home key).
6. To show the keyboard again, simply by tapping your finger in the text field.

As a note, you can use the same way to hide or show the keyboard on any screen or app where you can enter text, for instance when you write a memo, fill a form in a web page, create/edit a contact, etc.

Samsung Galaxy SIV provides you with several ways to accept incoming calls, one of which is by enabling the automatic answering feature so that your phone can answer incoming calls automatically when a headset is connected. This feature will be helpful when you're in a situation where your hand have difficulty to control/hold the phone, for instance while you're riding a bicycle or driving a car.


How to enable automatic answering?
If you want your phone automatically answering incoming calls when a headset is connected then you have to enable the automatic answering option first by using one of the two following methods.

Method #1: From Phone app

1. Open Phone app.
2. Tap the Menu key and then select Call settings.
3. Tap Call accessories.
4. Tick the checkbox next to Automatic answering to enable this option.
5. If necessary, you can adjust automatic answering delay for incoming calls by tapping Automatic answering timer and then select from the following options:
• 2 seconds: select this option if you want your phone waits for 2 seconds before automatically answering calls.
• 5 seconds: select this option if you want your phone waits for 5 seconds before automatically answering calls.
• 10 seconds: select this option if you want your phone waits for 10 seconds before automatically answering calls.

Method #2: From the settings menu

1. Go to settings.
2. Tap My device tab.
3. Tap Call.
4. Tap Call accessories.
5. Tick the checkbox next to Automatic answering to enable this option.
6. If necessary, you can adjust automatic answering delay for incoming calls by tapping Automatic answering timer and then select from the following options:
• 2 seconds: select this option if you want your phone waits for 2 seconds before automatically answering calls.
• 5 seconds: select this option if you want your phone waits for 5 seconds before automatically answering calls.
• 10 seconds: select this option if you want your phone waits for 10 seconds before automatically answering calls.

How to use automatic answering?
If the automatic answering option is enabled, when your headset is plugged in into your phone and you have an incoming call, then your phone will automatically answer the call after the delay time you have selected is over.


As a note, aside from giving you another way to accept incoming calls, automatic answering also helps you easily answering incoming calls because you don't need to touch the on-screen icon, pressing the Home key, doing air call-accept gesture, or saying the voice command to answer the calls.
