Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge: How to Use Auto Delete Old Messages Feature in Messages App in Android 5.1.1 Lollipop

If you have a lot of messages every day which make you have to spend some time regularly to delete the old ones to clean up the Messages app and free up some space, you can use the auto delete old messages feature in the Messages app in your Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge to save more time because this feature will let you automatically delete old text messages, multimedia messages and file sharing messages when the maximum limit has been exceeded.

How to use the auto delete old messages feature in the Messages app?
You can do so by using the following steps:
  1. Open the Messages app.
  2. Tap More at the top right and then select Settings.
  3. Tap More settings.
  4. Slide the ON/OFF switch next to Delete old messages to the right to enable this option. When the switch turns green , means the auto delete old messages feature is enabled and your phone will auto delete the oldest messages when the text messages are over 1000, multimedia messages are over 100 and file sharing messages are over 5000.
