Samsung Galaxy S5: How to Compose Memos in Memo App in Android 5.0.1 Lollipop

Memo is a pre-installed app available in Samsung Galaxy S5 that can be used to easily and quickly save any information. You can use the virtual keyboard to manually type your memo, or you can copy the required information from other apps. 


How to compose a new memo in Memo app?
You can create a new memo in Memo app by using the following steps:
  1. Open Memo app.
  2. Tap to compose a new memo.
  3. Write down your memo in the Add memo field using the virtual keyboard. If you'd like to insert some text you have copied from other apps, long tap the screen and then select Paste to paste the latest copied text or select Clipboard to paste a copied text from the clipboard.
  4. While composing a memo, you can use these following options:
    • : tap this option to add a new category or set a category for your memo.
    • : tap this option to insert images into your memo. You can choose Take picture to take a picture using the stock Camera app or select Image to insert a picture from your Gallery app.
    • : tap this option to make a voice recording and insert it into your memo.
  5. If needed, you can add a title for your memo by entering the required title in the Enter title field above the memo.
  6. Once done, tap Save button to save your memo.

  1. Samsung Galaxy s5 - My screen shattered on my s5 and I want to retrieve my saved Memos. The phone still works, just can't see the screen. Any idea if saved memos backup somewhere, and if so how I can retrieve them?
