When you're using your phone:

  4. This icon will be displayed above the phone number as a sign than the selected contact has been added to the auto reject list.


Method #2: From the call logs
  1. Open Phone app.
  2. Tap Log tab.
  3. Tap the required phone number or contact you want to add to the auto reject list.
  4. Tap More at the top right and then select Add to Auto reject list.
  5. The selected phone number or contact has been added to the auto reject list.


How to remove a contact from the auto reject list?
For some reason, you might want to unblock a blocked contact by removing it from the auto reject list, e.g: when you have accidentally blocked a wrong contact. As the example, we'll try doing so by using two different methods: from the contacts list and from the call logs.


Method #1: From the contacts list
  1. Open Contacts app. All your contacts will be displayed here.
  2. Tap the required contact you want to remove from the auto reject list.
  3. Tap More at the top right and then select Remove from Auto reject list.
  4. This icon will no longer be displayed above the phone number as a sign than the selected contact has been removed from the auto reject list.


Method #2: From the call logs
  1. Open Phone app.
  2. Tap Log tab.
  3. Tap the required phone number or contact you want to remove from the auto reject list.
  4. Tap More at the top right and then select Remove from Auto reject list.
  5. The selected phone number or contact has been removed from the auto reject list.

When you have enabled the assistant plus feature for the stock Phone/Contacts app, you can use the following steps as the example of using this feature when you're using Phone/Contacts app:
I. While viewing your contacts list
  1. Open Phone/Contacts app.
  2. Tap the Contacts tab.
  3. Tap the assistant menu icon and you'll be provided with these additional contextual menu options:
    • Keypad : tap this option to open up the dial pad.
    • Logs : tap this option to go to the Logs tab and view all of your call histories.
    • Favourites : tap this option to go to the Favourites tab and view you favourite contacts list.
II. While viewing a contact's detail information
  1. Open Phone/Contacts app.
  2. Tap the Contacts tab.
  3. Tap the required contact to view its detail information.
  4. Tap the assistant menu icon and you'll be provided with these additional contextual menu options:
    • Add to favourites : tap this option to add the selected contact to your favourite contacts list.
    • Remove from favourites : if the selected contact has been added to your favourite contacts list, tap this option to remove the contact from the favourite contacts list.
    • Edit : tap this option to edit the selected contact.
    • Delete : tap this option to delete the selected contact.
III. While viewing your favourite contacts list
  1. Open Phone/Contacts app.
  2. Tap the Favourites tab.
  3. Tap the assistant menu icon and you'll be provided with these additional contextual menu options:
    • Keypad : tap this option to open up the dial pad.
    • Logs : tap this option to go to the Logs tab and view all of your call histories.
    • Contacts : tap this option to view your contacts list.
IV. While viewing your call logs
  1. Open Phone/Contacts app.
  2. Tap the Logs tab.

V. While in the dial pad
  1. Open Phone/Contacts app.
  2. Tap the Keypad tab.
  3. Tap the assistant menu icon and you'll be provided with these additional contextual menu options:
    • Logs : tap this option to go to the Logs tab and view all of your call histories.
    • Favourites : tap this option to go to the Favourites tab and view you favourite contacts list.
    • Contacts : tap this option to view your contacts list.

Samsung Galaxy S5: How to Enable or Disable Dialling Keypad Tone in Android 5.0.1 Lollipop

You can set your Samsung Galaxy S5 to play a tone when you do some actions, one of which is when you tap the dialing keypad in the stock Phone app to make calls. FYI, the option to enable or disable dialling keypad tone in the settings menu is moved to a new menu when your phone has been updated to Android 5.0.1 Lollipop. You can turn on or off dialling keypad tone with several methods available. But, as the example, we'll do so by using two different methods: from the settings menu and from the Phone app.


Method #1: From the settings menu
  1. On any screen, swipe down the top of the screen to open up the notifications panel and then tap at the top right to go to the settings menu.
  2. With the settings menu is displayed in grid view, scroll down to Sound and display section and then tap Sounds and notifications .
  3. Scroll down the screen to find Other sounds, and then tap it.
  4. Tap Dialling keypad tone to enable or disable this option. When the checkbox next to this option is checked means this option is enabled and your phone will play a tone when the dialing keypad in the stock Phone app is tapped.


Method #2: From the stock Phone app
  1. Open the stock Phone app.
  2. Tap at the top right or long press the Recent apps key to open up the additional options and then select Settings.
  3. Tap Call.
  4. Scroll down the screen to find Ringtones and keypad tones, and then tap it.
  5. Tap Dialling keypad tone to enable or disable this option. When the checkbox next to this option is checked means this option is enabled and your phone will play a tone when the dialing keypad in the stock Phone app is tapped.

By default, the auto screen off during calls feature is enabled because it is designed to help you from accidentally touching something in the screen as well as to conserve more battery. You can turn off the auto screen off during calls feature from the general settings menu by using the following steps:
  1. On home screen, tap the Menu key and then select Settings to go to the general settings menu.
  2. Tap My device tab.
  3. Tap Call.
  4. Clear the checkbox next to Turn off screen during calls to disable this option.
  5. The auto screen off during calls feature has been disabled.
