Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge: How to Enable the Negative Colors Feature in Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow

Negative colors is one of accessibility features in Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge that will let you invert the screen's colors so the dark colors will dominate it. You can use this feature as a night mode where the background will be in black and the text will be in white so you can easily read what's on the screen in low-light situations and prevent eye strain if you're very sensitive with light. This feature can also be used as an alternative way to conserve more battery power because using darker colors consume less power than brighter ones. As a note, this feature effects the screen only, in other words, all photos, videos, or screenshots taken while the negative colors feature is enabled will be saved in normal colors.

How to enable the negative colors feature?
As the example, we'll do so by using two different methods: from the settings menu and from the direct access menu.

Method #1: From the settings menu
  1. On any screen, swipe down the top of the screen to open up the notification panel and then tap to go to the settings menu.
  2. Scroll down the screen to find Accessibility and then tap it.
  3. Tap Vision.
  4. Scroll down the screen and then slide the ON/OFF switch next to Negative colors to the right to enable this feature and invert the colors on your phone's screen.

Method #2: From the direct access menu
If you have enabled the direct access feature and selected Negative colors, you can use the following steps to quickly enable the negative colors feature from the direct access menu:
  1. On any screen, press the Home key three times quickly to open up the direct access menu and then tap Negative colors.
  2. The negative colors feature is enabled and the colors on your phone's screen will be inverted.
