Samsung Galaxy S5: How to Answer Calls Using 6 Different Methods in Android 4.4.2 Kitkat

Most of you may have known that we can answer incoming calls in Samsung Galaxy S5 using several methods, ranging from the common methods up to the advanced ones. These methods surely will be able to give you another alternative ways when you don't want or have difficulty to answer calls using certain method. Since each of these methods have their own advantage then you can use the one that best suit your need.

How to answer incoming calls using 6 different methods?
In this post, we'll summarize 6 different methods available that can be used to accept incoming calls in the Samsung Galaxy S5. Here they are:

Method #1: Swiping the on-screen answer call icon
It may be the most common method to answer calls that is widely used by the smartphone users. You don't need to enable any option to be able to use this method. When an incoming call is received, you'll see two call-related icons on your screen. Tap and hold and then drag it to the right to answer the call.

Method #2: Single tapping the on-screen answer call icon
For any reason, some of you may not like swiping the on-screen icon to answer the call. If that so, you can activate single tap mode so that when you have an incoming call you can answer the call simply by single tapping instead of swiping it.

Method #3: Pressing the Home key
Some of you may prefer to answer call by pressing the physical button than using other methods. Luckily, you can assign the home key as the answer call key so that when you have an incoming call you can easily answer it by pressing the Home key.

Method #4: From the call-notification pop-ups
If you don't like the incoming call taking up the whole screen and make you unable to finish your work/task then you can save yourself from this problem by activating call-notification pop-ups. If you have enabled this feature, when an incoming call is received whilst you're using other app in full screen view, the call notification will be displayed in a small pop-up window. The pop-up window will remain on top no matter what you're doing but you still can use/navigate your phone normally, gives you some time to finish/save your work before taking the call. When the pop-up is displayed, you can answer the call by tapping on the pop-up window.

Method #5: Using voice command
Wanna be able to answer calls without having to touch the on-screen icon or pressing the physical button? If that so, try activating voice control for incoming calls so that when you have an incoming call you can easily answer it simply by saying the voice command "answer". FYI, the voice command won't be available if your phone is in the vibration mode.

Method #6: Using air call-accept feature
Basically, this method has similar function with voice command since it will allow you to answer incoming calls without having to touch the on-screen icon or pressing the physical button. When you have enabled air call-accept feature, when you have an incoming call you can easily answer it simply by waving your hand above the sensor left and right repeatedly. FYI, the air-gesture sensor is located above the screen in the right side of the earpiece.
