When this feature is enabled, you can use it to read/reply the message or call the sender with ease. See the following steps as the example how to use this feature:

- Read the message.
When you receive a long text message, you can read the whole message by scrolling up or down the message on the pop-up display. - Call the sender.
If necessary, you can quickly call the sender of the message by tapping - Reply the message.
You can easily reply the message from the pop-up display by using the following steps: - Tap and you'll see the enter-message field is displayed below the message on the pop-up display that can be used to write your message.
- Write your message.
- Tap to send the message.
- View the message in the Messaging app.
If necessary, you can view the whole message with more conveniently in the Messaging app by tapping . - Close the pop-up display.
If you think that you don't need to take any action, you can close the pop-up display manually by tapping located at the top right corner of the pop-up display.
FYI, since the message pop-up display will remain be displayed on top regardless what the screen/app that is being opened and it won't be closed unless you take an action(view/reply the message or call the sender) or close it manually, then this feature will be able to intensely remind you if you have a new text message and force you to pay attention on it or take an action if needed.
Hi
ReplyDeleteI have a S5, 4.4.2 version. For some reasom pop up display message does not work anymore. I have checkmark beside "pop up display" under notification in my messages settings however my msgs still do not show up as pop up on my homescreen. This feature was working 2 days ago but it stopped working suddenly. If you have idea about what is wrong, please guide me here.
Thank you :)
I'm having the same issue
DeleteHi Sameen Amjad and Jennifer Martin,
DeleteThanks for coming.
FYI, I have tried duplicating your issue to find the solution, but had no luck. If you remember what have you done before encountering this issue, e.g: change the settings, install any third-party app, etc then it'll be helpful to find the right solution to solve your issue.
However, you can try performing clear cache and data for your Messaging app and then see whether it helps.
Just restart your phone, that worked fr me!
DeleteOn my s5 active it send my text messages funny. I send a message then the message I receive back pops up above the one I sent like it's backwards
