How to adjust the sound volume?
Generally, there are two methods that can be used to access the menu to adjust the volume of all phone sounds: from the settings menu and by pressing the volume key.
Method #1: From the settings menu
- Swipe down the top of the screen to open up the notification panel and then tap to go to the settings menu.
- With the settings menu is displayed in grid view, scroll down to the Sound and display section and then tap Sound .
- Tap Volume.
- Tap and drag the volume adjustment bar to the left or to the right to adjust the sound volume for Ringtone, Media, Notifications and System. .
- Tap OK button to save the changes.
Method #2: By pressing the Volume key
- While the screen is unlocked, press the Volume Up or the Volume Down key and you'll see the volume adjustment bar is displayed on the screen.
- Tap in the right side of the volume adjustment bar to view more detailed settings.
- Tap and drag the volume adjustment bar to the left or to the right to adjust the sound volume for Ringtone, Media, Notifications and System.
As a note, specifically for media sound, when you're playing or opening a media file (e.g: music, video or game), you can not only adjust the media sound volume from the settings menu, but also directly from the app by utilizing the volume icon or by pressing the Volume Up or the Volume Down key.
