The first thing that I'll share with you about this phone is how to use this phone to capture what's displayed on the screen or we used to named it as screenshot. Best use this option when you want to share what's on your screen with others through the picture. I first use this option to screenshot my Home screen to share it with my friends through the social media.

How to take a screenshot?
Generally, you can take a screenshot in this phone by using one of the methods as described below:
Method #1: By using the physical button
You can take the screenshot by pressing the Power key and the Home key simultaneously until you hear the shutter sound as a sign that the screen has been captured. The screenshot will be saved in the Pictures/Screenshots/ in your internal storage or you can also see the result through the Gallery app in the screenshot album.

Method #2: Using Palm motion
To take a screenshot using this method, you need to activate the motion and gestures first as listed below:
  1. Go to Settings.
  2. Tap My device tab.
  3. Scroll down to find Motions and gestures, then tap it.
  4. If necessary, enable Palm motion by sliding the switch next this option to the right.
  5. Tap Palm motion to access the menu.
  6. Slide the switch next to Capture screen option to the right to enable this option. When the switch shows green means this option is turned on.
  7. Now, you're ready to take screenshot by swiping the side of your hand across the screen, either from the right to the left or vice versa.
  8. The screenshot will be saved in the Pictures/Screenshots/ in your internal storage or you can also see the result through the Gallery app in the screenshot album.

These are two methods that you can do to take screenshot in the Samsung Galaxy SIV. Each of them has their own advantage and disadvantage. If you don't want to set some settings, then you can use the first method, while if you like the simplicity then you can use the second method. So, hope this helps :)

Samsung Galaxy S3: How to Enable Lock Screen Light Effect on Android 4.3

Seems I've been missing some features in the previous Android version, Android 4.2 and just discovered them in the Android 4.3. Well, though some of them may be have no real function, but they do the thing that will beautify your precious Samsung Galaxy SIII and makes this device a little bit more fun to play with from time to time. I've already mentioned one of them in the previous post, the hidden BeanFlinger daydream which will act like the PC-screensaver on your phone. You're free to display it right now or while the phone is docked or charging.

Another similar feature that was overlooked by me is an alternative swipe effect, the light effect in the lock screen which already there since the Android 4.2. This feature of course will give you one more option if you have bored with no-effect or even with the standard ripple effect available in the previous version. But, you should note that this only works if you use the swipe methods for your lock screen.

How to turn on lock screen light effect on Android 4.3?
Here the steps you need to do:
  1. Go to Settings.
  2. Tap My Device tab.
  3. Tap Lock screen.

  5. Select Light effect. When the radio button next the option shows green means the option is selected.

Once you've done the steps above, tap the Power key twice to go to your lock screen. Now, try to unlock the screen by swiping your finger, then you'll notice that the movement of your finger will be followed by the light effect in your lock screen. So, which the lockscreen effect you like best? Let me know by dropping your comment below :)
